Breakfast basket?

For the first time ever my mum and dad will be alone on Christmas morning as my Siblings and I are at our in laws. We will be going to them early afternoon for dinner.

I'd like to put together a nice breakfast for them to enjoy, something a bit special. Any ideas?

I've got a small bottle of Moët and some orange juice. Was going to get eggs, smoked salmon and muffins.

Should I put anything else in or is that enough?

Fruit salad?
Fresh coffee or nice tea bags.

Oops pressed send to soon.
Lovely idea but I'm not sure if I would do eggs? Then they have to cook. Maybe some nice pastries then they can have a lazy morning with no pots etc

That's a great idea. But yes, I'd do things they didn't have to cook at all - salmon, cream cheese, fresh bagels etc?

Hmm didn't really think about the no pots thing.
Tea bags coffee etc are out as they have lots of different types already.

Cream cheese and bagels sounds nice.

Dad loves pastries as well, but I would have to get them Monday, would they last til Wednesday?
