Mulled wine

I've never made mulled wine but really like so I've bought a ready made bottle of it. What do I do with it? Just heat it up or do I need to add more spices or fruit to it? Feeling clueless..

I wouldn't have thought you'd need to put any more in it - but if you want to make it go a bit further, you could add orange juice, and a mulled wine sachet (or a cinnamon stick, some cloves and a bit of ginger).

can i hijack - any opinions on who is currently doing the best mulled wine? Bought a co-op bottle and it's not brilliant :(

I just micro it in a cup for about a minute (for a large glass) and pour into a glass. Careful of the temp though, did this nervously over the sink and didn't hold the glass first time. I got a couple from Asda, they have two kinds and both are lovely.

Lidl gluwien is the best I've tasted

If it just for us then just heat it. If we have guests I slice oranges, lemons and sometimes apples.

Aldi Gluhwein - which I am assuming is the same as the Lidl one is my favourite ready made mulled wine!
