Board game for me and dh

Hi

Can anyone recommend a board game for two adults? We have loads of kids and family games but I'm after one that me and dh can play. Good if it has the option of additional players too but must be suitable for two people. Dh is always complaining that we watch tv too much so it can go on his present list not mine!

Thanks!!!

Sticker Twister - instead of the using mat, you put coloured stickers on your body and 'foot' instructions become 'mouth'

OK, not a board game, but something to do when there's only the two of you.

Is settlers of Catan ok for two people? I thought tradings better with 3 or more.
Carcassonne good with 2 and very easy for slightly drink adults and overexcited children on Xmas afternoon.

Rummikub (sp?) is great for 2 or 4. Traditional version with numbers, you can get letters too but not sure about that one.

If you like card games Canasta is really good.

Sellers of catan needs 3 our 4 players, wecan only party it with guests. Carcasonne tales 2-5 players and is great.

backgammon and cribbage are two of our favourites

Banangrams? Great to travel with and to play with kids when they're around. Not a board game, you just need a flat surface. Good for sharpening the brain!

Mastermind? I've learned a technique and have a fail safe method for always breaking the code within around 6 turns!

Carcosonne seems popular, never heard of it but about to look it up...
