As the title suggests really!! We've just finished renovating our house and I refuse to stick sellotape/blu tak or anything else to doors or walls.

How do you hang yours? Smile

we pin ribbons to the ceiling beams and hang them against the wall on either side of the fireplace.

KrabbyPatty · 08/12/2013 20:24

We shove ours in a drawer until it's time to recycle.

BunnyLebowski · 08/12/2013 20:27

We don't get any!

ilovepowerhoop · 08/12/2013 20:27

I have an over the door card holder in the shape of a christmas tree and it hangs on the living room door

Dilidali · 08/12/2013 20:29

I tied silver string to either existing nails, under paintings etc. then I clip them with tiny silver pegs

ilovepowerhoop · 08/12/2013 20:29

similar to this but was from somewhere like home bargains last year

Yoghurty · 08/12/2013 20:32

We do the same as Dilidali. Silver thread under our floating shelves and little silver pegs (from a pound shop iirc)

Pascha · 08/12/2013 20:35

Same as krabby Xmas Blush. Sometimes they get opened, read and put straight in the recycling

doglover · 08/12/2013 20:42

Thanks for the replies. I've ordered some ribbon and mini pegs.

Mini Pegs on a bit of fishing line along the book case. It's been there about 13 years.

DD1 was such a horror for climbing and fiddling we had to come up with a way of displaying birthday, congrats on the birth of her sister and Christmas cards she didn't instantly destroy

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/12/2013 21:36

Over door card holder and ribbon down side of bookcase with mini pegs

Generally we don't display them at all. I tell everyone I know not to bother sending cards and gradually they are drying up.
I open them, read the bland generic 'To X From X' message and into the recycling it goes. Hate having all the tatty scrappy bits of stuff everywhere just because it's December.
The DDs get a million from school (they do sent them aswell), and they usually blue-tac them to their bedroom door. This is their choice though, they are welcome to put them where they want, but choose their door. Thank god!

We don't get many but tend to put them over the pictures and photo we have up on the walls.

CookieDoughKid · 08/12/2013 21:53

On a large pinboard covered in Cath Kidston fabric, criss-crossed with cream ribbon.

It's lovely!!

ginmakesitallok · 08/12/2013 21:53

Mini pegs on tinsel.

I have a nice box, shoebox size with lovely Xmas pattern on it. Bit like a photobox. All the cards go in there.

I hate having cards around which was the main reason for starting this but I think that the family actually pay more attention to the cards now - we sit down and look through them whereas they were pretty much ignored when they were stuck up around the house.
