Tree timings

My family alway put it up 12 days before and my DH's family not until xmas eve.
My eldest child is miserable that we haven't yet . I see most trees up already are artifical . I plan on getting a real one next Saturday .

Same here. I've bought the real tree, but it won't be going up until next Saturday or Sunday.

I'm trying to hold out until next weekend although I see that most houses round here have one up already. (And that's with an artificial tree.)

We put ours up yesterday. It's a real one, and I'm now fretting that it won't last.

It only has to make it to Boxing Day; we are going away after that so will turf it into the garden, assuming it hasn't shed every single needle by then.
