My 11 year old has told my 8 year old that mummy is Santa. I am gutted
but how do I come back from this - she pointed out a list in my diary of the presents I had bought. Suggestions for cover story and suitable punishment for the 11 year old please ...

I have told my 2 since they were old enough to start questioning that if they don't believe, then it won't happen!
They are now in their teens but still go along with it all to keep the magic alive. Mostly for me
"We Beliiieeeeve!!! "

What has your 8 year old actually said? Because I would think there's a good chance they already knew (the power of the school playground) and are just going along with the Merry Xmas fun.

It gets better 8 year old has been telling her friends and one of the school mums mentioned it to me [cringe] evidence based Santa exposé and now I have to undo that for school friends too. Don't want to confront 8 yr old directly as too obvious - was thinking duplicate present from me and Santa as if we were one in the same that wouldn't happen?

You know this is what happens to all kidas at some point ,I wouldn't be concerned about it or punish the 11 year old.

And the duplicate present thing is a bit ott.
