I went to CAB and they were brilliant. I had to tell them all of my incoming and outgoing expenses and they worked out a budget for me including how much i could pay off my debts. They then wrote to the companies with the lower amount i was going to pay and asking them to stop adding interest. All this was free and i hardly had to do anything.

Getting an appointment can be difficult but it is so worth it.

I've got an appointment for Thursday have wrote everything coming in and out incase they ask for it.
Going to take these letters with me to see what they say .

No idea about all the debt stuff - sorry.

However, 6 is a brilliant age for Christmas to be all about the fun stuff - watching Christmas Movies, popping your own popcorn (to eat & make decorations!), Carol & Nativity events, playing games etc I am sure you can make it really really special for DS without lots of presents etc Xmas Smile

But I hope for your sake you can get the debt situation sorted out soon.

I'm not an expert, but as someone who has struggled with debt in the past, I would just say concentrate on the priority debts.

It sounds as though you are paying Council Tax to a bailiff company? If so, you definitely need to make that payment. Likewise, make sure rent is either paid in full or negotiated with your LL (or mortgage lender if you own). Also, any payments which relate to CCJ's should be paid.

Other than that, creditors will just have to wait until the CAB has sorted things out for you. They cannot have what you have not got.

Hi yes I'm going to do a movie night in hamper for him with microwave popcorn sachets ,sweets ,crisp and drinks .2 DVDs I got from the charity shop last week and a voucher for me being the DVD switching over avd the drink getter lol .
Yes I am paying my council tax arrears through a bailiff but still pay my regular council tax to the local council .i applied for council tax benefit and now get 1.62 a week help not much but it helps lol .
I'm going to pay rent .council tax arrears ,and regular conc tax I think there my main concerns .tv licence I pay monthly so that will have to he paid .my other debts is mainly 2 catalogues ,sky and the cheque centre because when I started work and had to work a bit in hand I had no back plan and ended up in a rut with cheque centre Hmm.
Other than that it's little debts that through my stupidity and trying to hide from it have now doubled due to charges and interest x
I will get through it I no that and want to thank everyone for there wonderfully ideas on gift ideas etc .xx
