I've got my first Christmas card today from my neighbour AND the other side gave me a bottle of wine to apologise for the DIY (very nice, and while it was annoying, it needed doing and you can't DIY without noise.) It's a lovely gesture and I feel a bit bad now for wanting to whinge about it.
ST Nick came last night after I cleared up the destruction DS caused by polishing his shoes and left them both a box of chocolates. DS decided that he didn't like them so I bought buttons instead for him and working through the chocolate myself.
Shopping yesterday was ACE. I love shopping with her, we get giddy over the most stupid things and make complete arses of ourselves. One more good thing has happened today - after the Natwest fiasco of Monday, they have called, apologised and COMPENSATED me. I made a complaint about being on the phone to an 0845 number on hold for an hour but never expected anything from it. It's a lovely little bonus which has paid for a fortnights food shop!
I want to spread the luck. Giving a kid at school some welly boots that ds has grown out of, but I don't feel that that is enough. Is there anything I can do to help someone?
Has everyone been safe with the recent weather? Hope no one has been hurt or damage done.
