Happy 5th December everyone!

I am really struggling this year, with illness, general fed-upness about trying (and failing) to get back to work, family stuff (more illness and general misery), and a new relationship proving to be a bit of a rocky ride at times.

Thank the lord for MN, I say. Xmas Smile

ChestyNutRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 05/12/2013 09:41

That sounds tough line

This time of year sea to make everything feel worse doesn't it?

Wow it's windy here today, bins flying down the street Xmas Hmm

Are you all ready for St Nick?

farrow how's studying going?

LineRunner · 05/12/2013 10:05

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Chesty.

I love MN as an antidote to all those sickly, Christmas-fantasy-family adverts on the box. People on here are lovely and live in the actual real world.

Also you see what real problems are, and how bravely people deal with them.

Anyway, might get the tree out of its box today!

Happy 5th, Mama and everyone!

Line, sorry to hear your troubles. Hope things pick up soon. Those stupid adverts with their perfect and big families does ram it home for those of us who don't have situations like that. But yes, you are right, in the real world, many people have it way worse than us.

Chesty, we are ready for St.Nick, just keeping it simple though, some chocolate in his new Wellies.

Mama, well I hope you get the marking done soon and can relax.
DS is three and has wild long hair. I love boys with long hair. Xmas Smile
He is getting Playmobil for Xmas, yes. We had thought Playmobil this year, LEGO next, but just saw that cheap set in the supermarket and felt like treating him as he'd been such a good boy having been dragged round homebase and then the supermarket at that time of the evening. And then he loved it so much when we got it home, he's been playing with it more than anything else.

Thanks, farrow, already got one minifigure from the supermarket. I am feeling addicted already though, like I want to build up a little community of people! Xmas Grin

Oh and thanks farrow for bumping my other thread - I now have a complete alphabet and all the numbers. Only missing a minus sign, but I was mainly after the letters and numbers, so am very pleased! Xmas Smile

Shit, have totally forgotten 2 old ladies I need to buy presents for!
Haven't finished my Christmas shopping anyway, but can't believe I forgot these 2 off the list! And have no idea what to get them. Xmas Confused

OrnamentalAsAnything · 05/12/2013 18:49

Scarf, hat, slippers, mug?

LineRunner · 05/12/2013 18:50

When I am an old lady I will want booze.

hallowisitmeyourelookingfor · 05/12/2013 23:00

Okay, they aren't absolutely ancient! 52 and 60, but one is tee total and the other is diabetic so booze is off the cards. Obviously they are usually the best present choice!
I usually do a combination of scarves, garden centre vouchers and jewellery so I need to think of something else.

LineRunner · 05/12/2013 23:18

Lord, I'm nearly 52 and I'm having the tantrics with my hot builder. Xmas Grin
