Wrapping Chocolates

I'm not sure whether this is wrong or not?? Would you wrap a box of chocolates or give them as is?

I always wrap them

I would wrap if giving as a Christmas/birthday present. If it's for a thank you gift e.g. if going round for dinner, I don't wrap
