Need recommendations - scooter for 4yo

Help!
DS would love a scooter for Christmas but I don't really know where to start. He hasn't had one before, and has barely even had a go on one. He is well coordinated - should I be going for two wheels or more?
Don't want to spend masses...
Thanks!

Ds is also 4 and is getting a teenage mutant ninja turtles one, with 2 wheels. He had a 4 wheel one but it's no longer cool enough!

DS (4) has a maxi micro scooter-not cheap but will take him through to age 10,x

His friend round the corner has a three wheeler, maybe I should see if I can get him on it...

We're going for the maxi micro. Having tried a few different ones out, this one is definitely the best. Expensive but they enjoy using it so you(they) get your money's worth.

Micro scooter all the way. We started DD on something cheaper when she was 2 but it weighed a ton and she could barely push it let alone ride it. We forked out for the micro scooter and she hasn't looked back. They are fab.

She has a three wheeler btw but maybe at 4 the 2 wheeler might be ok.

How old does the mini micro go up to?

MummyPigsFatTummy · 03/12/2013 10:45

According to the website, they are for 3 to 5 year olds. So he might only get a year or so out of it: www.micro-scooters.co.uk/

If he is reasopnalby tall you might be better going straight for the maxi one. Or there are other options on the website.

Might be a daft question but what's the diff btwn mini micro and maxi micro? Is it just size? It's quite a diff in price. TBH I was hoping to spend less... He is quite tall for his age but then again he also has a little sister to pass it on to so I suppose the smaller one could still get a decent amount of use.
