I did this last year and put lego mini figures in my sons and a minature jack daniels in my husbands. He put the gift in my one and it was a bit crap so I'm buying poundstretcher ones this year!

I got bllomin tweezers, they were cute ones from Tiger and I am big tweezer-er but still..

DM is doing them this year, but I know I will be getting a Joules hare pin to put on my new hat Xmas Grin
I often use miniatures, small bags of chocs, socks, small jewellery etc. I believe scratch cards are also popular but I have never used them.
DS has had cars in his for the last few years.

Mini photo frame with pic of DS in for your Mum?

Mini photo frame is a very good idea.

Thank you Smile I made one for my Mum a couple of years back, and she said it was the best cracker present she'd ever had. Mind you, compared to some of the dire plastic tat that comes out of some crackers it's not terribly hard to improve on.
How about a wind-up torch for your DH? Or a maglite and batteries? Men love stuff that they can operate Hmm Grin
