How do you decorate outside your house for Christmas?

By us, it's like Blackpool illuminations but I haven't a clue where to start. How do you make your house look pretty??

I got some really lovely snowflake window stickers in Lakeland. £4.99 for 50. I have them on front bay window and they look beautiful plus wreath on front door.

I just put a wreath on the front door. We live tucked out of the way so the only people who would benefit from us having Christmas lights would be the neighbours opposite. Besides, I think it is a monumental waste of electricity and I am far to mean to spend that kind of money.
