I always have tinsel but notice this year many other people don't Blush Am I hopelessly naff? Yes I realise this is VERY MUCH a First World Problem but my cat has just died and I'm sad and need distracting

Going out on a limb here, our tree is tasteful without being tightly restricted, its a happy mish mash but it also has tinsel. I went off tinsel for a few years, but have brought it back with vengeance.

its the sparkle but above all the smell and the rustle. also using lameta.

There's only one rule for our tree and that is no horizontal stuff, so no tinsel, no garlands of any description. Apart from that it is a riot of multi-coloured lights and random decorations collected over the years, it looks fabulous. I don't like subdued white lights and colour schemes.

Sorry about your cat Queen, and yours Pipkin.

i'm sorry about your cat xx

we have tinsel, silver stuff as it reflects the multi coloured kid happy lights i have to put on for dd!!

I have said it's my turn this yr, and that we've had 3 yrs of the coloured lights, and i want white.

I don't think it's going to happen she loves them so much.
