So those paper snowflakes...

Will they fold down for use next year once Christmas is over?

I'd like to create a huge flurry of them hanging from my hall ceiling but that's going to cost a few quid as the hall is quite long. Might be a waste of money really if they are single use.

Is this a really bad idea - will I be left with some torn paper and a ceiling that need redecorating? Grin

I will tell you tomorrow! DH is going up to the attic for mine. I hung them from a clothes rail up there and put a bin bag over them so hope they have survived from last year

And can you sew paper snowflakes on to t-shirts without tearing them? My little boy is going to be a snowflake and we've been told to provide a white t-shirt. My son said it doesn't need anything on it but other mums sound like they are getting creative. Any suggestions?

Mine have in the past.

Home Bargains have some lovely ones in for 79p each at the moment.

Firefighter...I'd check if school provide anything first. The other mums may find they have wasted their time if school have asked for a white t shirt to go under their snowflake outfit. Our school used to do this. Smile

You could use silver fabric glue/paint to draw snowflakes onto the t-shirt, failing that how about covering some cardboard cut out 'snowflakes' in tin foil and stitching them on, they might be a bit sturdier than paper.

With regard to paper snowflakes, I made some Star Wars themed ones for DP, but I'm not sure how well they will store! I suppose if you were careful taking them down and stored them in a plastic wallet they might be fine. Smile
