Innotab apps, maths, problem solving is the age about right on them?

Just wondering if anyone purchased any inotab apps are they age appropriate or too young, have a 6 year old thinking of getting the 7-9 ones...

i think they are on the young side for the age they say. DS had the mickey mouse one which is supposed to be for 5-7 year olds and he can do it (not easily but reasonably easily) and he's 3.6 so can't see it being very challenging for a 7 year old
