Coffee maker help

FCEK · 27/11/2013 14:47

I'd like to get DH a coffee maker for Xmas for our new house as he loves coffee and gas previously said he'd like one.

However I don't drink coffee and therefore haven't got a clue how they work, what kind to get etc.

All I know us that he likes Nescafé at home lol and sometimes buys lattes from costa drive thru.

Any advice please? I don't have a big budget either and our new kitchen is small.

asda is selling nescafe dolce gusto for £44 , the coffee pods are 3 for £10.

There are 8 coffees in each box

Nespresso machines are great. The pods cost about 30p but taste great & are very easy to make. They are offering a cash back deal at the moment which you can use to buy coffee with.

This is one of the cheaper models which costs £100 but you can get £70 of coffee with it, so it's effectively only costing you £30 for a machine with a 3 year warranty.

Nespresso all the way, got my husband one last Christmas from John Lewis and he really loves it.

I will go against the grain here and won't recommend any high tech gadgets but the good old coffee bag! I absolutely love these, they are similar to tea bags but with the right amount of coffee for a good cup of filter coffee. All you need is a kettle!
