Where are you based? Google to find out whats on your local area or did you want.to travel to London oe a big city?

Do you have kids as you will have to factor traipsing around in the cold with last minute crazy shoppers. I would stay away from the shops and would focus on museums/galleries/ carol concerts/ pantos and local fairs.

We are doing a Christmas walk on the 23rd, up a big hill with the dogs and a flask of hot chocolate and mince pies.
Christmas Eve we are going ice skating (well DS and I are, DH and my DPs are repairing to the mulled wine bar :o) Afterwards we are doing Starbucks for gingerbread lattes and a stroll through town looking at the lights. Nothing big or flash but traditional(ish) and gets us out of the house.

I am taking my DDs to Longleat on the 23rd and 34th. It is actually quite cheap over Christmas. We live too far away for a day visit so we are staying at a premier inn overnight.
