hi!
we have absolutely no room for a christmas tree this year so i thought about a flat one. first i thought i could make one fron green card and get the kids to decorate it, but now i am wondering if there is anything premade i could get?
still would like the kids to decorate it with pics, glitter, flat stuff but i am too tired to make the tree myself.

has anyone got any genius ideas about how to go about creating a christmas tree to stick on a wall? Or where to buy one? Wink

On our tree you attach the branches separately, so we never attach the back ones so we can push it flush to the wall - would that help ?

You can buy half christmas trees to go against a wall. Would that be any good?

Or you can buy cardboard ones. They're meant to be assembled to be 3D, buy you could just stick one bit to the wall instead?

ive got wall space down the side of a sofa so not even a half tree would fit. boo.
I like the idea of a cardboard tree

thanks!

Could you acquire one of the lower branches from a real Christmas tree, when they are around. Maybe a trimming from a friend or speak to a tree seller.

They are Christmas tree shaped in themselves, and you'll get the lovely pine smell too.

that's an excellent idea, thanks!

I secretly hanker after this.... It even lights up in the dark!

i could potentially sew stuff to the ikea one.

You could make a Christmas tree out of hand prints. Get the kids to cut out loads of hands from green card (you could do yours as well). Then stick them onto a big piece off lining paper in the shape of a tee, decorate and stick to a wall or door. Easy, effective and you can bring it out year after year.
