DH needs to be told something specific. I have no idea. Don't really need anything. What are you having, if anything?

I am getting a beautiful lamp from Waitrose that I really, Really want, I am going to go and buy it and give it to DH to give back to me. Because I really want it and he doesnt have the time to go and get me anything really.

He has another idea for a present for me but I have sent him in the right direction of a perfume I really like and also hinted a few things here and there.

I've asked for a Clarins gift set and a Soap and Glory lipstick, plus lots of books. Will hopefully get both of the first two and several of the third!

The DCs stuck their lists to the fridge so I thought it only fair that I did the same. My list comprises:

A handbag I've seen in M&S
A box of chocs; either white Ferrero Roche, Lindor or salted caramels (not choosy)
A little bronze hare from a gallery in town
A grey woolly scarf (cashmere would be nice, but I'm not hopeful)
An individual coffee filter so I can drink something decent at work.
Some nice hand cream.

I don't want for much....

Last year DH & I started picking up DVDs from October onwards - charity shops, Ebay etc to make a 'Films we should have seen by now' collection. Each one is by definition a date night-in. This year he has presented me with a '500 Cult Movies' book from which I drew up a shortlist of about 40! Apparently he's managed to get most of them v cheap on Ebay in one night.

Keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 25/11/2013 20:29

my list has the following on it:

bag for my camera
2014 diary & calendar
notebook for work
yankee candle
theres a few CDs I want

I'm getting a new computer for my course that I'm doing, plus new study furniture. This is masquerading as a christmas present because we needed a new computer anyway and were about to buy one, and I decided an iMac would be cool. The difference between the one we were gonna buy and the iMac is my present.

I've got 2 books for my course from my parents.

I've also asked for:
a new apron
a leather golf scorecard holder
a nice golf towel
some nice hand cream (I've run out of the one I use, and not bought any more in case someone wishes to buy me some. I suspect I'll be shopping for some on 27th december!)
series 3 of Blue Bloods
Anything series 2 onwards of Bones

I'm so busy buying bargains. I haven't even thought. Confused

HeirToTheIronThrone · 26/11/2013 10:19

The only specific thing I have asked for is a Mary Berry cookbook which I think DH has told SIL to get. It's also my birthday in December and he keeps telling me he's bought all my presents for both and is quite excited so no idea what these may be!

moominleigh94 · 26/11/2013 10:20

My parents are getting me a pregnancy body pillow that turns into a nursing pillow.

I've dropped hints to OH that I'd love some Sanctuary Spa Mum To Be pampering stuff, but he seems oblivious... may have to go the obvious route and ask him for it Grin

CrotchStitch · 26/11/2013 10:21

North Face boots which I desperately need (well I need some boots, North Face because it's Christmas :o)
A flat cap which I have ordered
GBBO book which I have ordered
Les Mis DVD which I have bought

TBH we both know what the other is getting as we are quite specific. Surprise gifts fill me with a small pang of dread :o

Quoteunquote · 26/11/2013 10:28

Well I am buying myself (I banned people buying me things years ago) a laser engraving cutting machine.

But various siblings have asked for a zenbow aroma diffuser, they are great if you like having scented spaces.

wordfactory · 26/11/2013 10:43

DH keeps asking and I keep telling him to use his imagination !!!

Things I would quite like;

The new Donna Tartt book.
An iPod.
A weekend in Budapest.
A black handbag.
Perfume (with matching oil and lotion).
