Starter Ideas?

Has anyone any nice ideas??

Personally, I think a starter detracts from the main meal, however, it depends how much effort you want to put in.

Smoked salmon,
Asparagus

we allways have mellon, simple but always goes down well

I'm doing stuffed mushrooms and some spicy veg and mince in lettuce cups.

I don't do a starter on Christmas Day, by the time we do the main meal, there's no room for pudding.

But sometimes we have a dip and crudites starter.
Salsa, sour cream dip and a Philidelphia Dip served in tiny bowls with carrot,celery,peppers and tortilla chips

or button mushrooms filled with garlic and herb Philly, egg and breadcrumb and deep fried

Baked Brie/Camenbert

deep fried Brie (double egg and breadcrumb dipped then fried)

carrot and coriander soup?

You need something prepare ahead and last minute heating or cold

We always go traditional lentil & ham soup, prawn cocktail, pate, melon.
