I think DD (5) might quite like Monster High and I'm looking at the high school play set. However, it seems really expensive. What's the quality like? Does it last? Do you get lots of accessorise with the playset or it it all stickers? TIA

Hi I also have a 5 year old Monster High fan. I didn't bother with the set as it seemed so expensive. Instead I got her a few dolls and the vampire car from Smyths. It looks fairly sturdy or as good as these things can be!

I'd not bother with the sets as they are IMO cheap plastic for such a high price.

I bought the Monster High school on Amazon for £46 about a month ago. Check camelcamelcamel for when the price drops. I haven't taken it out of the box yet so can't comment on the quality.

Dds both love monster high and have nearly all the dolls, but even I have avoided the school. I find they love the dolls and just don't play with the house. They have lovely monster high art and craft stuff on amazon too.

I've just stuck to the dolls you can pick them up at reasonable prices from b and m for the older ones newer versions are around £20/27. tescos has a limited edition dollfor £20 its really lovely. my dds haven't been interested in the house/school etc the prefer the small clothes packs for the dolls as extras that come as cheap as a fiver.

The latest monster high dolls (13 wishes) are currently around £12 on amazon delivered! I paid £20!

Thanks everyone. I have ordered the monster high school (59.89 on amazon - gutted I missed it for 46!) as her main present and have asked others to buy the dolls and DVD. Fingers crossed she likes it.

NotAnother - I actually bought it for £64 and then about 10 days after I received it, it dropped to £46 so I (cheekily) emailed Amazon and they refunded me the difference - so worth keeping an eye on it in case it does drop in price!

The online reviews said the floors were cardboard and the house was flimsy so I never bothered buying it. The furniture sets they have in asda don't look particularly strong either.
Dd got the car for her birthday and her dolls happily play in that and ds bat mobile lol.
