I'm having my Christmas dinner at my mums on Christmas Eve and another one Boxing Day so what our me and the dc going to eat on Christmas Day?

I was thinking party food and maybe a ham and some cheese?

I do want to make a few things Christmas Eve I don't want it all to be bung in the oven money bags sort of thing.

An easy meal that goes down incredibly well with my kids and is to make barbecue ribs with baked potatoes, coleslaw (or beans!) and corn on the cob. You just bung it in the oven really (wrap the corn in tin foil and bung it in too) and then serve. You can use one of those maggi bag things and a jar of sauce at the end or do your own spice rub and make sauce (which is very easy and can be assembled from store cupboard ingredients.

They find it fun to eat and get quite excited about it. And it would be very different to the Christmas roasts on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

Oh we have BBQ pork quite a lot and corn on the cobs and wedges or rice. It wouldn't be a treat meal it's more a Sunday meal for us.

I don't actually want to cook or wash up anything on the day! Anything going in the oven is going in on throwaway baking trays [grins]
