How to knit a stocking

I'm not a great knitter and can't do anything complicated (ie I can do knit, purl, cast on and cast off!)

I want to make two stockings for Christmas, but I don't know how to go about it.

Does anyone have any great suggestions? In particular, is it possible to do without using double ended needles or a circular needle?

I made this one for DD1. Planning on getting started on DD2s soon. Really straightforward, 2 needles and you can dress it up by sewing/gluing. I'm a reasonably experienced knitter, but as long as you can increase and decrease it'll be fine.

Ooh I've knitted that one too Best Can vouch for it being straightforward. I'm not an experienced knitter but I didn't find it difficult and it doesn't take too long either.

I find YouTube great for knitting tutorials if you're unsure about anything Smile
