My dm liked the downton abbey and pillars of the earth boxsets the last couple of christmases. Any ideas of other boxsets she may like?

She's seen Call the Midwife. The White Queen sounds perfect but just checked on Amazon and it has no subtitles (she's deaf), disgraceful.
Not heard of The Borgias, will look that up now.

i can't believe that the White Queen has no subtitles it's a BBC production i'd expect better from them. it's a shame because it is really good! can also recommend The Borgias and Rome was quite good too. good luck piggy

I know, it's disappointing as I would have bought the White Queen if it had subtitles.

The Borgias has sex, incest, sex, violence, incest and a bit more sex......! Best watch it first for quality control so you dont shock your mother.
