I usually pay max £40 for 12 months subscription but if you look around, especially in Game you can get special edition ones with an extra 2 or 3 months subscription free. These ones usually have a picture of a new release game on eg Halo or COD but are not linked to the game in any way except the picture and bonus subscription time.

At most it costs £40 for a year, but like some of the pps have said you can usually find a deal around the holidays.
