Budget maybe £100 for DM and £50 for mine...though room to manouvere if its ace :o

Could you club together with your mum and get them a brewery/tasting type experience they could do as a couple?

Any breweries near you that do visits? You could book him on a tour and give him spending money for the gift shop.
