Stocking fillers

What can FC put in a stocking that is useful/ exciting?

DS is 8 & usually gets satsuma, nuts, shiny penny, chocolate coins, socks, a book, a game but inspiration is lacking this year.

What do your DC get?

I've been on the bargains thread. We have finger lights, mini compass, keyring pillbox for money, fun snaps, dominos, chocolate, bike lock.

We also put a cheap dvd in each (tom & jerry, mr bean etc), as well as many of kungfu's things we're also putting in personalised pencils and personalised swimming bag from studio24, blu/pink/white tack, cute post-it notes so that if she doesn't understand a word when she is reading she can mark its place for later.

Compact binoculars, one of those biros that has 4 colours of ink, or a fountain pen & cartridges and an ink eraser for spy work.

Maybe a can of silly string? Headphones? A torch, or head lamp? Anything from the camping section of Millets/Trespass etc.

I have been through the stocking filler ideas thread and have jotted down these ideas for my ds's (10 & 13):
chocolate, magazine subscriptions, comics, art/craft sets, dvd's, bath bombs in the shape of Lego or cupcakes, glowsticks, smellies, cooking kits, hot choc kit, jigsaws, board games, pacman key covers, face paints, Hitchhikers guide books, David Walliams book, Diary of a Wimpy kid, small science kits, personalised phone cover.
Obviously they won't get all of this, I will pick and choose when I eventually get around to shopping.
