Skipping ropes. Balls (with glitter in) colouring books and crayons, felt tips, scratch art sets, marbles, tiddlywinks etc (you can get them from home bargains for about a pound I think. Punch balloons and the ones which you chase across a room

You may be able to get cheap jigsaws as well, and I once did an event where they had asked macdonalds/burger king for excess happy meal toys, and used those. They were still in the bags.

It kind of depends on what you are charging.

The best ones we did at dd's school were books - bought in bulk from the book people (they gave a great discount) - we got where's wally ones for over 5's and peppa pig for unders. Also gave them a choc coin with it. Very well received, better than usual plastic tat!

Depending on budget - we went to a National Trust grotto last year and the younger boys were given Bagpuss toys that played a tune when their tummy was squeezed. They still use them now. Older kids got a Christmas craft kit.
But it was £3 entry.
