Hi

Can anyone recommend a religious advent calendar suitable for a 5 year old? The ones I am looking at on Amazon get mixed reviews...

Does a local church sell any?

This one! Religious AND chocolate.

Phoenix Cards usually have them.

Our little independent book and art supplies shop sells them.

Also I bet the Christian book shop does. As a devote atheist I just like their cheap cafe.

If money were no object this would last for years. We have its predecessor which has magnetic nativity figures on a flat background which the dc love arranging and rearranging. We also manage to squeeze some chocolate in!

We've had this one. Beautiful.

dd1 has a thing for Jesus, and choses a nativity one from WHSmith every year. I never see them on the website, but they're always in store.

giggle @ dd1 having a 'thing' for Jesus Grin

I covet the Lakeland one linked to above, I have £50 in birthday money and am seriously considering it, its so lovely.

I would see it as a family gift - ours take it in turns to open - and there is a figure and 3 chocolates which we put in. A decent nativity set will set you back a fair amount anyway. I wish I could justify it but we already have something equivalent. Not helping you am I - you can probably get a paper one for £1.59 in the local Christian shop. but you will always covet this one

We have the fourth one down here and I still wish we had the lakeland one!
