Hi I would appreciate some ideas for a nice Advent Calendar that is preferably not chocolate but a bit more exciting than just a picture one?

TK Max has some really stunning wooden ones, one that is a giner bread house with drawers and some others.

then a shop called Maythers has some of the best advent calenders I have seen, ever, hand glittered from germany.,

We've got a lovely wooden house one from the range, we're going to put a little chocolate and maybe a few coins in each day (he loves money and is only 2 so 10p a day!)
I think it was £12.99 and we will bring it out every year.
Dh was creeping for a Lego calendar but we will get a £shop one each like every year and forget to eat them after about the 5th!

Playmobil ones are great, and you can still use the Playmobil from them after Christmas. Ds is having the police one this year!

Have a look at the boots one, it's £30 but under each door is a mini something like make up, perfume, cosmetics etc

Eric Carle's pop up calendar. A pop up tree and each window has a little decoration to hang on the tree or a gift to place under it.
