where can I get an illusive completely real looking artificial christmas tree?

does it exist? I've been looking in garden centres this afternoon at christmas trees but they all look like fake ones and their shapes are just too obviously fake IYKWIM. Can anyone recommend anywhere to go in RL or online to buy a fake tree which looks just like the real thing? I'm in the SE if that helps.

I think that there is no such thing, but some look better than others, and they all look loads better again when decorated. Generally the display trees aren't decorated so that you can get a better look at them.

I'm impressed by the National Tree Company products, they are American. We have a 'Dunhill fir' by them which is nice and bushy and looks great when decorated. You can see those on all those websites.

They had one on display in John Lewis which looked fairly realistic and not too perfect although that might have been after ds had 'admired' the display think was either

rasiah thing is M&S ones don't look that realistic to me from their website, and they don't give the width measurement to know how much space it takes up (and we don't have a huge space to put it but would so like a 5 or 6 footer)

moosey have been having a massive nose on that site but they are so wide it would take up the whole sitting room even after taking out the sofa

Could go to john lewis at the week end and wondering about this one as I think it might look really nice once decorated and looks quite natural/not like all the other fake ones. The thing I don't like about it is the clamps and screws you can see where the branches clip on to the tree, but presumably it's covered by decorations?

I've only ever had real trees before but like the idea of being able to put my tree up obscenely early and not worrying about it dying and dropping needles everywhere before the big day!

I saw a lovely tree in B&Q yesterday, it wasn't a perfect cone shape and you couldn't see the wires underneath which I think is important. It even had berries and pine cones on it, I was sold

There's these too, very beautiful and apparently look very life like. Possibly a bit too "perfect" shape wise though.

After years of refusing point blank to even countenance a fake tree I ended up getting one last year after we got a cat who liked the taste of christmas tree and then threw up everywhere. And repeat for 3 weeks.
I looked everywhere, garden centres, John Lewis, posh shops and I eventually got one in B and Q. It is a case of looking at them in real life- you can't tell what they look like online and the price bears no resemblance to the realisticness of the tree. We went in when B and Q had their money off christmas tree weekend at the beg of December and got one which looks pretty good. It was less than £50. You have to hook all the bits up and then artfully arrange the twigs but it's fine.
They cut Christmas trees so early now as loads of people have them up at the beginning of December that by the time Christmas comes the real ones are all wilting and rubbish and expensive.

Some nice looking ones on Christmas Tree World website and they have a sale on. I'm going to get one as my 15 year old John Lewis one has started to give up the ghost!

i did a fake one one year, and tbh although it looked good it just didn't feel like xmas. I too hate the buying and then the tree losing it's needles and looking wimpish before the big day.

I buy a real one each year and each yr say that's it I'm not getting a real one next yr. Yet i do. I am lucky in that I've now found a field fairly locally where you can go and cut your own down. Again, you have to time it just so as by 10 days or so before most have gone, but we have been lucky enough to find little one's hidden away!

Just popping on to say went to JL today and got the one I linked to upthread. It just looks different to the normal artificial tree and isn't too wide so fits in our room. for your help.

Was going to suggest John Lewis, but you beat me to it! My mum got one there years (20) ago and it still looks really good. Sadly, it outlived mum.
