Blush Thanks again all :) I'm glad to be back but if anyone is nasty again I am orf to name change Grin

Now, this M&S Christmas tin thing that sounds fab, can I get it online? Maybe I shouldn't have come back- I said I was done! Grin

DrankSangriaInThePark · 10/11/2013 14:12

Oh god, make me step away from ebay because I am about to undo all the ££££s saved on here by compulsively buying 1970s vintage baubles.

Debenhams meanwhile, in the sale, have 50% off their giftwrap. Not v good quality IIRC though. (though I am hankering after that 1970s market stall wrapping paper that my Gran used to use....Blush)

HenriettaPie · 10/11/2013 14:26

So glad to see you back Isaac!

Don't know if it's been mentioned but if you have any skylanders fans, you can trade in your old portals at smyths and recieve £10 off any swap force skylander figures. We had 3 old portals lying around and took them yesterday and got new 3 light core ones for under £6! Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 10/11/2013 14:30

Isaac you can but it's only half price in store and today's the last day (totally worth full price though!)

TooWetToWoo · 10/11/2013 14:47

Welcome back Isaac Thanks

So glad you've returned, we need a HUKD decoder! I don't care what anyone says, it bloody well is hard to navigate.

olivo · 10/11/2013 14:47

Thanks for the barbie stable link, Dd will be very pleased!

This thread keeps crashing for me, but I'm trying to keep up.

Nice to see you back Isaac!

MissBeehiving · 10/11/2013 14:53

Welcome back Isaac Flowers

I think that I might need to have a Wait Monkey inspired n/c so that she can finish the thread Grin

TheOnlyPink · 10/11/2013 14:53

Isaac, so glad to see you back, thought of you when I saw those aldi tins yesterday.

now, have a Brew and get comfy for some bargains.

WaitMonkeysDoppelganger · 10/11/2013 14:59
Pogosticks · 10/11/2013 15:12

Hooray welcome back Isaac! Pleeeeeease tell me I never have to look on HUKD again and see all the ridiculous 'give some it heat' comments and millions of expired things I didn't want anyway??

Willemdefoeismine · 10/11/2013 15:13

Can I just say a big thank you to Reastie and welcome back Isaac.

I have to say I'm very amused when logging into Amazon, as it would appear that the few things I've ordered that have been recommended on this thread, feature alongside many other things that Mumsnetters have bought too....I have this vision of thousands of families (well maybe it's hundreds...) with identical Christmas pressies - it made me chuckle!

On the subject of the M&S revolving musical biscuit tin (fab!), I've noted that the next one on half price offer which I'll have great trouble resisting is the snow-globe one which is equally tempting.....

soundstrue · 10/11/2013 15:43

Oh, DH got two Christmas tree tins today. He did say the snow globe was really nice, I now need an excuse for that one.
Welcome back Isaac, a lurker that has missed you.Smile

LottieDidIt · 10/11/2013 15:49

Argh I'm going to miss out on the M & S revolving biscuit tin as I was meant to head out to get it today but baby DD has decided to have a huge sleep for most of the day as she was up all bloomin night so its too late to go now Sad I wonder if it may be on offer again before Christmas?

Willemdefoe I'm the same when looking at Amazon and I am just hoping my SIL isn't a mumsnetter on this thread as my family may well be getting duplicate presents from us!

Willemdefoeismine · 10/11/2013 15:57

LottieDidIt, what about phoning your local M&S and seeing if they'll put a revolving Christmas Tree to one side for you - if you explain why, they might be really lovely - what about mentioning 'Christmas spirit'? Worth a try....???

Yes, you can see it all now....Mumsnetters being 'outed' on Christmas Day to their families and friends :-)

RosieBloom32 · 10/11/2013 16:01

Are most of the people on this thread unemployed?

Some of you spend so much time on here!

I think its impossible for someone with a FT job, dc and a social life to keep up! Grin

The new OP really helps Reastie thanks, I love all the chat about ideas so I can steal inspiration but I agree the endless 'can anyone find me' posts make it really tedious to trawl through.

Most of my Christmas shopping is finished now though so get to spend December doing family things instead of shopping and on threads like these.

thanks

DTisMYdoctor · 10/11/2013 16:09

For any Octonauts fans, I spotted that the Gup E was £10 in store today. It's £11.99 on Amazon just now.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/11/2013 16:11

I work part time and have to small children. Only takes a couple of minutes to catch up on iPhone app Smile

PoppyWearer · 10/11/2013 16:18

Welcome back Isaac. LOL at "Christmas needs you" it's true though.

JaquelineHyde · 10/11/2013 17:00

Isaac Yay so glad you are back, don't let the weirdo fuckers grind you down. You have done an amazing job on this thread and you and Reastie will definitely be on Santa's nice list this year. Grin

In completely unrelated events, can we please stop referring to posts on this thread as tedious just because you don't like them. It is fucking rude and makes anyone saying it sound very much like an atrocious cunt.

RosieBloom32 · 10/11/2013 17:05

No, if they are tedious we should definately call them on it.

I think its cuntish not to tbh Wink Grin

Coveredinweetabix · 10/11/2013 17:05

Someone else who is thrilled to see that the Duplo cakes have come back down having decided last time they were this price not to buy them and regretted it most days since!

RosieBloom32 · 10/11/2013 17:07

The duplo cakes were a big hit in this house last Christmas.

A great present!

notso · 10/11/2013 17:08

WaitMonkey Where are you? Watch out for BigBadWolefPlum Grin

Yay! Isaac your back, I am feeling festive now. We just need FairyJen to see the Cow biscuit barrel and it will be like the end of a Christmas film!

CatAmongThePigeons · 10/11/2013 17:17

Welcome back Isaac You do need an M&S tree tin, it's lovely!

ChipAndSpud · 10/11/2013 17:31

Welcome back Isaac! Flowers

I'm sad to say I've finished my Christmas shopping and it's not even December yet! I have a couple of Dec/Jan birthdays to buy for, will wait until next pay day and then I can start doing Christmasey things with DS like card making and going out for walks etc!
