What to get a 12yo DD who has asked for 'some cheap stuff'?

We are on quite a tight budget, usually. However, this year, my ILs and my parents and my siblings have all said they are clubbing together and getting her an IPad mini + a £15 iTunes voucher and a case.

We have a budget of £30 (DH and I) to buy stuff for her with. She is ridiculously grateful for anything and everything we give her, unlike the other DC!

She loves techy stuff, but I guess that has been covered my/DH's lovely family. Smile

I was thinking of buying her a ticket to Fly 360° at the Science Museum (£12).

Then we have £18 left.

We have got £4 worth of small gifts hung on the tree (chocolate, candy cane, some pens etc; and some hair chalks).

But what would a 12yo girl love for £18 (preferably more than two things!)? We are stuck.

She loves music, going out with friends, clothes, food, relaxing, boys, animals and history. Confused

Visit to Primark - DD always comes back with a bag of stuff for £15 or so!

You can make £18 go a long way. I second Primark... things like slipper socks, t-shirts, jewellery.... . Cookery book or puzzle books (check out the Works if you have one nearby) Is she into makeup/beauty stuff? Look in B&M bargains/Quality Save/Home store - all got same stuff. And browse the pound shops for notebooks etc.
Also take a look at the MN bargainous thread... lots of great ideas , got some Amazon delivery free bargains from there, e.g. magnetic book marks; jewellery... um forgotten the rest but take a look

Primark voucher. Add £2 to the £18 that you have left to buy her a Primark voucher then she can spend a happy afternoon shopping. There is s new Primark at the topvof Tottenham Court rd where Virgin superstore uses to be. You can make a day of it out in London after or before her exhibition at the science museum.

Spa in a jar? (Google for some very inspiring photos of crafty-types' versions!) basically a big jar with a nice ribbon and a 'spa in a jar' label stuffed full with samples and sachets of face masks and nail varnish from primark etc. a lot of which you can pick up for free / extremely cheap in pound land . When I was 12 hanging out with my friends often involved a film and a face mask (vaaair grown up!)
