Suggestions please!

Nothing too wacky as ILs are coming round and they usually just shove Iceland party food in when hosting.

Ideally Id do a cheeseboard, ham and olives and bread but I do worry theyd do Hmm face and go home hungry.

Ditch the olives,and add pickles and chutneys, what's not to like. Maybe add a cold quiche in for good measure...

Hot pork sandwiches with stuffing and apple sauce, optional sides of salad and coleslaw? Our Christmas Eve tradition!

Is this for Christmas Day or another evening?

I am perfectly willing to accept that I may be a little common but a buffet table at Christmas in this house would feature the following;

A cheeseboard with a selection of crackers/cheese biscuits.
Pate.
A vast selection of pickles (this is a family tradition inherited from mum - she even bought the ones she knew no-one liked "because it's Christmas)
Naice ham (the sort you carve, as opposed to in a packet ham).
Coleslaw.
Potato Salad.
Cold turkey (or other cold meats).
Pork pie.
Pringles AND
A tin of Roses as a centrepiece.

I fear that if your relatives are the Iceland Party Platter type, they may be just the sort to appreciate my buffets!

Humus and smoked salmon get short thrift here...........
