Actually I sounded far more agro than I meant to, I really just do not understand why people hang around to cause upset, if something doesn't suit you then just walk away, why cause bad feeling, who in their right, adult, well adjusted mind thinks that they have the right to impose their feelings on something that the majority are happy with. I just don't understand it.

Update re blueberries:

There has been an unexpected delay with the delivery of the Blueberry Collection. We are expecting it to arrive with us within the next 7 to 10 days. As soon as the product arrives, we will begin immediate despatch.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and I'm sorry I can't give you a specific delivery date. The delivery dates provided at the time of placing your order are given in good faith and to the best of our knowledge at that time.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/11/2013 13:15

Thanks hawk Smile

MissBeehiving · 06/11/2013 13:15

Reastie you are doing a great job.

I enjoyed the thread last year and enjoy this one apart from the pointless stirring, particularly the chat and everyone elses bargains Smile

Thanks platespinner that's a great price on the hexbugs

notso · 06/11/2013 13:17

platespinnersmum Thanks for the Hexbug tip off have ordered a few for DS and the Helix.

The Lego Star Wars advent calendar is down to £16.66 on Amazon I have foolishly bought it opening up a whole world of faff as will have to do a decent calendar for DD 13! Any ideas?

I am also looking for some lovely but bargainous fillable calendars for DS2 and DS3.

Crutchlow35 · 06/11/2013 13:20

Another thanking you for all your work Reastie!

Can someone tell me what hexbugs are? Need inspiration for DS who is 5.

notso · 06/11/2013 13:21

L'Occitaine 15% off a £25 order with code 15VIP valid from 6/11 - 8/11

snowballinafryingpan · 06/11/2013 13:22

The Spicery if not already mentioned is giving 20% off subs with the code SORTED. Use before the 10th.

OnlyGirlinmyHouse · 06/11/2013 13:24

thank you for all the tin recommendations. I will check those out. Have a lidl & home bargains near by so will try those first, as have a feeling I may end up buying more than I strictly need.

I am so tempted by the undersea octolab for ds2. even though I got him the octopod in Sainsburys yesterday! He'd like both, right?!

notso · 06/11/2013 13:28

Hexbugs Crutchlow are little robotic insects, they vibrate which makes them move around on their rubber legs. You can get interconnecting tracks to make them little runs to go around. The new style Hexbugs V2 can walk up the walls of their tunnels where as the older ones stay on the flat. I think the more bugs you get the better fun you can have. DS1 9 has about 20 and has spends ages with them. DS2 2.10 loves them too but tends to let them roam off and get lost under the setteeHmm

WeileWeileWaile · 06/11/2013 13:28

Does anyone know where I'll get cheap innards for Christmas crackers. I've got a make your own kit and stuff to put in them, but DH has put a spanner in the works by declaring the point of Christmas crackers is to get rubbish like a fortune telling fish and plastic moustache.

Does anyone know where I can get this stuff? Or would I be better off buying a cheap pack of crackers and opening them up for the junk inside?

Pogosticks · 06/11/2013 13:28

BuddyKringleBerry I have a similar dilemma. DS is getting a tablet for Christmas. This will be a complete surprise as we've always said they are far too expensive, wait until you're older, etc etc. He'll be getting it jointly from us and ILs when we see them on Boxing Day.

He is asking for SwapForce. Its all he wants. He won't know on Christmas Day that he has something awesome coming on Boxing Day. I feel like Scrooge not getting him SwapForce. But its £50! But then again I have saved SO much from this thread that it could be afforded... But I don't want him to be spoiled. But it is Christmas.

Argh...

kiwidreamer · 06/11/2013 13:38

I got the HB Nordic type tins, they are lovely... cant wait for Dec 1st when the Christmassy homeware comes out of storage :)

notso · 06/11/2013 13:40

kiwi am jealous of you festive homewares!

GuyAndStoic · 06/11/2013 13:43

Ooooh, I've just popped into home bargains (as you do) and they had a knit a sock monkey set for kids, rrp is £15 - apparently - but cost £2.99. Niece will LOVE it!

Prizepudding · 06/11/2013 13:46

Weile, our local dobbies has a section of pocket money toys including the fortune telling fish and other things, all under 50 p each. Hawkins bazaar would also do these.

cuddlymoomoo · 06/11/2013 13:57

Reastie - you've done brilliantly, as has everyone else who has posted great stuff. I've been here under a few guises (none of them nasty ones though - I just change to avoid snoopy family members catching me Grin ) and it has been a really helpful place.

But . . . about a year after throwing out practically every Harry Potter thing we have (apart from books and DVDs), youngest has now decided he loves it all (was too young to appreciate it all when the others did). I'm back to square one of Harry Potter buying so if anyone sees any bargains, I'd be very very grateful.

Barbeasty · 06/11/2013 13:59

Weile if you're near a John Lewis, our nearest one had fortune telling fish in the pocket money bit near the tills in the toy section.

I don't know what somewhere like Hawkins would do?

Pogosticks · 06/11/2013 14:01

Cuddlymoomoo lots of people have ordered this: www.amazon.co.uk/niceEshop-Potter-Enchanted-Steampunk-Necklace-Bronze/dp/B00EQZ72J2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1383746429&sr=8-3&keywords=the+golden+snitch and said good things about it. I am still waiting for mine to arrive as I think delivery is from China.

siblingrevelry · 06/11/2013 14:08

Playmobil pirate rowboat & shark £8.03 (allegedly was £14.99):

LottieDidIt · 06/11/2013 14:11

Wow I am Shock and Confused as to why anybody would be so rude.

I love this thread and think Reastie is doing a bloody fabulous job. She should be getting appreciation and thanks - not horrible snide comments Angry

TheOneWithTheHair · 06/11/2013 14:11

Yes please on good advent calendars for girls. I have done the same and got Lego Star Wars for ds2.

I was about to post the Spicery code too. I'm obviously too slow for this thread! Blush

FudgeyCookie · 06/11/2013 14:13

Reastie Thank you for the thread. I've just ordered my 15yr old DSis the finger lights from the 2nd post on amazon for 41p! she will love them!

I might have a spare elc code, but I've left it in the car Hmm which dp has taken to work, so will look tonight when he's home. I know it had one for me and one for a friend so to speak, but doubt I'll use both Smile

Also, a bit of a request - does anyone have the kids version of the Poang (i think?!) chair from Ikea?! trying to find DD a chair/armchair for christmas, but not sure what age its suitable from. Thanks

dandelionsRflowers · 06/11/2013 14:14

Hama beads 10,000 beads in a bucket is down to £6.66 on Amazon (no idea how to do links) Can someone tell me what pegboards I'd need for this. On the 'frequently bought together' it's the midi board, but I'm not sure these beads are midi?
