I am looking for good, easy to use, nice crackers that I can fill myself.

I'm actually getting them for a New Years family party, but never having gotten them before (and not being British) I am bowing the Christmas-MNers with far more knowledge of these things that I as I am worried about getting duds. Just planning to put tiny gifts, sweets, and chocolate coins inside so I think standard size will be fine. I've been told poundland often get them in but don't know about the quality of those.

Any advice for a cracker newbie?

I've used M&S ones in the past but this year am trying the John Lewis ones, £5 a box and free delivery to Waitrose.

I like the john lewis ones too, they're £5 for 6, there are two different designs.

I believe you can just buy the snaps and make the rest yourself if you're that way inclined.

I have seen the 'make them yourself' kits with the snaps. I would like to be that way inclined, but I'm not really gifted in that way Grin I fear it would end up disastrously or just a flop as other projects have done.

I will look at the John Lewis ones Smile
