My First Christmas bauble etc?

Yes it's probably tacky, but I'd quite like a 'my first Christmas' bauble for my DD's first Christmas. It doesn't need to be personalised but I'd like it if it was. I can't seem to find any nice ones anywhere, can anyone help?! Or if not something along the same lines?

I got mine from great little trading co - so pleased I did as every year when I hang them on the tree it makes me smile - even though DS are 9 and 8 now!!

A local pottery painting shop had baubles last year - so I have one with my DS footprints on!

Mama's and Papa's? They have the year on them too so we know which is which.

Plus we went to a paint a pot place and made our own too Smile

Mothercare, Boots, Notonthehighstreet or go to a local pottery painting place & make one

Look for Wotnot Pig ceramics on facebook. She has lovely little Ceramic ones that she will personalise for you and they aren't that expensive. i've just had delivery of one for DS (not a first christmas one) and it's lovely.

She is also on etsy i believe.

becarefull of putting away so it doesny break or get thrown out. ds1 was born novemebr i had brought a bauble that you could put a hoto in and record a message, i had managed to record one of ds first proper laughs on. absolutly loved it. exh had thrown it out by the time next year had come round because he randomly wanted newdecorations and trees, what made it worse was he couldnt understand why i was upset and was quite mean about it.

sorry didnt want to put a dampenner on it but it reminded me off it... back to your op.

We got both of ours from mothercare. Both personalized and very tasteful.

I just took DD (6 months) to a pottery painting place today & did a bauble with her hand print and written DD's 1st Christmas 2013 on it. Only £6 too!!

Repeatedlydoingthetwist · 01/11/2013 22:18

Just to report back on this Smile
There are no pottery type places near me so I can't paint my own however I have been on all the pages recommended and seen some really lovely stuff. I ended up buying two from Not On The High Street because I couldn't pick between them. I had a little look round at the rest of the site, coveredinweetabix I will be sending my credit card bill directly to you this month because I think I'm going to bankrupt myself on there and it was your suggestion that I look Wink

We got a lovely one just from a local garden centre last. Not My first... But personalised and metal with a slot like little money boxes. Planning to look for one for DS2 this year.
