Any other vintage fiends out there, who love kitch decorations etc?

I'm so excited this year, about digging out things I've picked up over the year, or am going to make!

I've got some nice vintage decorations from eBay. I am doing an advent tree for dd. I shall wrap 24 presents up up brown paper and hang them from the tree. Then each day as she removes her gift, she will replace it with a decoration, so over the advent period, the tree will become bright with the little decorations. I haven't got enough decorations to fill a room, so I'm planning on just decorating the porch vintage.

My main tree is quite traditional but not vintage.

What a lovely idea :)

Picked up a lovely wavy edged bon bon glass today in barnardoes, for the princely sum of £1.29 :)

Oh, I forgot about the vintage bonbon jars I bought last year on eBay. They look like giant glass baubles in pressed glass and I fill them with sweets and fairy lights. They're very pretty. Smile

I have a load of those crepe paper fold out balls so I'm going to suspend them in a group (or flock Grin) down our stairwell.

Totally taking me back to my 1970's Christmas memories.....
