DD2 wants a bike. Fair enough.

DD1 wants..... new carpet.

That won't fit under the Christmas tree!

This weekend she has learned about Amazon wishlists and has found some herself. She's actually done really well sourcing her own gifts and finding good deals.
:)

A Coconut!

QueenofWhatever · 26/10/2013 19:22

A coconut? Brilliant!

Last year DD (then 7) really wanted a tin of tomato soup. I obliged and she was absolutely thrilled. I also wrap up a satsuma every year and pretend it's her only present, which she thinks is hilarious.

I've posted on here before but DS (3) has asked for Cillit Bang.

ShowOfBloodyStumps · 26/10/2013 19:31

DD is 6. She asked for a hydrangea last year. This year she wants an axolotl and a pair of yellow leg warmers.

DS is 2 and wants a cake shaped like a stocking and a cuddle. I thought that sounded quite straightforward and asked the fatal question 'anything else?' 'yes mama my want be Hermione Granger'.

SummerRain · 26/10/2013 19:35

Last year ds2 wanted 'toy ham for my toy kitchen'

Ds1s most awkward was a purple tractor one year... Surprisingly not as popular a colour for fly tractor manufacturers as you'd think Grin

Dd is very boring in comparison, she just flicks through the toy catalogue and picks stuff that catches her eye.

I'm trying to convince DH that I can't get a coconut anywhere in this country so I will have to fly out to the caribbean the week before Christmas to pick one up but I don't think he is falling for it unfortunately as I could have done with a nice relaxing week in the sun

Aged 2 DS asked for "The Letter A" - he was adamant, and nothing else was requested.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 26/10/2013 22:47

Somethingpink · 26/10/2013 23:00

Last year DD2 wanted a vile and disgusting t shirt from George that had leopard heads on it. It was truly horrid. I refused to spend £9 on it, but did crumble and get it for a Christmas gift when it was reduced to £3. It was put away with the Christmas gifts in the cupboard.

Over the remaining weeks there were many times we had tears because I hadn't got her the top and now it was sold out. I nearly caved in and gave it to her early, but held on and gave her a lovely surprise on Christmas day.

This year, she'd love a real life sheep. She's not getting one.

DS wanted a yo-yo for his birthday princess and I was quite shocked that our nearby large ToysRUs store didn't have any Shock

  • He's very good at his yo-yo tricks but think he must have lost the last one.
Anyway luckily I told a friend looking to buy him a present about the problem and she found one in town, and he was delighted with it Smile
  • I think yo-yo's are ace
LittlePeopleOnTopOfTheCake · 27/10/2013 20:02
