18th thread

If lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Apologies that the long code list isn't fully updated from the last thread - I've been ill and haven't been able to keep up. If there's anything good which I can add to the next OP please will you fill me in and I'll add it? Thanks

I really want to have a home bargains, tiger, ikea and tk maxx near me. Just seen a Brio Playful Storage Box at TKMaxx for £9.99. It zips out into a playmat.

There are lots of other toys on there too.

WaitMonkey · 25/10/2013 19:58

Will someone please tell me about the festive goat ? It's like a secret club I'm not part of.Sad

BlackStiltonBoots · 25/10/2013 19:59

I could've used a festive goat as an icebreaker, it would have been just the thing sitting jauntily on the pew or whatever that bible shelf is called, but DH refused to take me to Ikea on Monday [sulk].

Barbeasty · 25/10/2013 20:06

Thanks for the Verbaudet code. I've just bought DD 2 winter dresses, 3 roll neck tops and a set of shelves that I hope some of their books can go on and stop them being trashed. All for £54. Got free delivery too.

An automatic code appeared at the top of the page giving 20% off, but the £20 was just better value!

HenriettaBrain · 25/10/2013 20:07

I'm loving the sound of this festive goat too!! I have to pass an Ikea tomorrow on the way to the inlaws. I may have to call in Smile

nickdrakeslovechild · 25/10/2013 20:14

I went into the Nottingham castle marina sainsburys today purely for research properties yeah right and they had lots of toys and were still putting lots out. Didn't have any happyland or wooden kitchen bits, but they did have lots of really cheap plastic kitchen bits, the lovely shop and some own brand my little ponies which were only £1.49 each. Oh and a really cute puppy for £1.49.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 25/10/2013 20:18

Dd1 is a huge curious George fan but toys seem in short supply, anyone seen anything on their hunt?

Also looking for a leather bound refillable A5 notepad for my dad, sort of like a Filofax but just note paper, no calendar etc. anyone got any ideas where I might find something similar? Confused

Theonlyoneiknow · 25/10/2013 20:24

As the DCs don't have one key worker at nursery I have lots of nursery staff (3 per classroom) to get for, the girls are easy. Last year in the sales I got the boots nail polish and lip gloss sets and some bath bombs so will split them up and do a little parcel wrapped in nice festive cellophane with polish, lip gloss and soap in each, but there is one older nursery worker (late 50s at a guess) and one young male who I know plays the guitar. Any ideas for cheap and cheerful gift for those?

Theonlyoneiknow · 25/10/2013 20:25

ps , forgot to say thanks!

missmakesstuff · 25/10/2013 20:28

Dosey if you have the wooden watches still, I will take one from you for whatever they cost plus postage, I can paypal you - DD would love one!

secretly wish I could have a wooden watch so I can ignore work and other commitments

I am trying to put together a gift for DH, the Beer 52 code someone posted seems good, but does anyone know if it arrives emblazoned with 'Beer 52 in big letters? DH is out of work at the moment, don't really want to spoil the surprise!

Guitargirl · 25/10/2013 20:28

LaTrucha - thank you very much for posting about the diary on Amazon, I was hoping it would drop to about that much so have now bought one for DD's January birthday.

DrankSangria - I am also finding myself hanging out on the Christmas threads to avoid the aggro. Much more festive in here.

PoopPoooDeDooo · 25/10/2013 20:30

Girl I would think TKMAXX would have something on those lines

Mipe · 25/10/2013 20:35

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 25/10/2013 20:38

MooseyMoo · 25/10/2013 20:39

Missmakestuff yes! the box does have Beer52 on outside. I had to run out of car and block box from view pretending it was something for the kids.

theonly what about a [http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dunlop-Guitar-Holder-Black-5001S/dp/B000EEHH9Y/ref=pd_bxgy_MI_text_y plectrum holder]] for £2.20? Or a holder with x10pics

Theonlyoneiknow · 25/10/2013 20:42

Those plectrum ideas are fab! Thank you all xx

roslet · 25/10/2013 20:49

Theonlyoneiknow, I'm thinking of getting Starbucks cards for the male (and female) staff at my daughter's nursery. There is a branch near the nursery though. Also thought of getting lots of bargainous Bodyshop shower gels etc (inc men's range) and putting them all together in a Christmassy bag so that staff can choose their own favourite.

FriskyHenderson · 25/10/2013 20:55

So have you guys had the Minecraft book delivered?

Reastie Vistaprint do caricature Christmas labels that say 'happy Christmas from'

hippoherostandinghere · 25/10/2013 20:55

Girlwiththeyellow hat (now I see where you got your NN Smile) I found this bag.

BeaWheesht · 25/10/2013 20:56

hippoherostandinghere · 25/10/2013 20:56

VoldemortsNipple · 25/10/2013 21:05

Another guitar gift idea, a capo DD bought one of these for dh a couple of years back and paid around £14 in Dawson's.

Today I have bought 12, A6 size chalkboard on little wooden stands for £14 I've no idea why They will make cute little message boards if I can think of a way to gift wrap them. [Confused]

After losing out on a cushelle koala, I noticed this too good to be true offer for a free Temper pillow if you are close to a Furniture Village here I wonder if my mum famous a run up to Warrington tomorrow afternoon Grin

[Flowers] for the Sweatshop.co.uk link. this running hat with led lights will be brilliant for dh who is a group leader in his running club. although it might get swiped by ds2 as it has his name on
