18th thread

If lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Apologies that the long code list isn't fully updated from the last thread - I've been ill and haven't been able to keep up. If there's anything good which I can add to the next OP please will you fill me in and I'll add it? Thanks

(We always had the Christmas day afternoon tradition of Dad and dd building the Playmobil while me and my Mum lay on the sofa mainlining the Thorntons Hamper....)

Badvoc · 25/10/2013 16:03

To whoever linked that thorntons hamper....

Reastie - or anyone else who had them last year - Is the Thorntons hamper that Scotswoman linked to the one that you got last year? Or are there more to come from thorntons?

Have had NO parcels for almost a week!! I need to order something Grin

ClaimedByMe · 25/10/2013 16:12

Theimpossiblegirl · 25/10/2013 16:18

I've not bought much yet- I got the slushy cups and have used the Isme code but that's it so far. Need to catch up.

Now I'm looking for a deal on foot spas.

FriskyHenderson · 25/10/2013 16:20

Oreo no the Christmas hamper has moulded chocolate reindeers/snowmen in it, that always arrive broken; they send replacements, you eat even more chocolate Grin

I think last year it was called "Christmas treats hamper" and was £40 last December (14th to be precise)

Am home from a mammoth Christmas shop. Home bargains have some great stuff. I managed to get pjs for the girls, lovely Minnie Mouse one for£4.00. Slippers for dp and my dad for £3.50 a pair.

My mum is cooking dinner this year and thought I would do her a little Christmas Eve hamper festive towels, apron, salt and pepper pots, table cloth etc and I managed to get her a few bits for this.

I bought a string of felt advent stockings for a fiver which I will fill with chocolate coins, this will be instead if advent calendars.

I got a lovely tin of shortbread for £3.00 in there too.

Popped into The works and got dds a candle making kit and a glass bottle decorating kit for a fiver each. And a couple of Disney dry wipe white boards for £2.00 each. I thought these might be a good idea to practise spellings on. Plus they like to play schools and they can use these for that too.

Now it's finding places to hide it all.

Can anyone help with the ELC birthday codes? I'm trying to order from ELC and it is saying code not recognised. I've emailed Customer Services and they've sent me a new code and that's still not working Confused Do you put the dashes in with it? (I've tried with and without)

L'Occitane 15% off - MC15

TheIggorcist · 25/10/2013 16:34

Just got an email from the printer company saying I was getting a refund. Twas about a week ago they told me it would not be coming (same time as I got a dispatch note) - why only refunding now? I feel they are trying to avoid telling amazon they messed it up - otherwise why pretend they were dispatching? I know mind them not honouring the glitch, but surely that could have been sorted on the day itself.

wanderingsoul and anyone else who ordered the Welsh language Minecraft from Amazon; I emailed their customer service earlier today asking whether, since I ordered in good faith, would they be prepared to charge me the same price for the English language version and they said yes!

I know some of you have had problems with Amazon before but this is one of many incidences of excellent customer service I have received from them.

wonderingsoul · 25/10/2013 16:58

oh never? thats great!! i shall email them and ask them to. thank you.

NaturalBaby · 25/10/2013 17:05

I've just been to Sainsburys for the toy sale and spent a fortune - but have got all the kids presents I need. I might have to go back for some birthday presents. I just have to focus on the £80 saving rather than the total spend!

I'm thinking about getting the dc's sompeez slippers so thanks for the ebay link.
I'm also thinking about getting pillow pets. There are some good deals around but have seen scooby doo ones which seem to be double the price, ds1 would love one though. I have 3 boys and most of them seem quite pink and girly.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 25/10/2013 17:05

My TK maxx had some happyland in - just smaller sets (wedding, happy family, police officer that I saw) but I know a few people were after bargainous happyland. A few other ELC bits in too, mostly bath toys I saw.

SpookyTeacakes · 25/10/2013 17:07

GlaikitFizZombieFodder · 25/10/2013 17:26

My bargain eBay pashmina scarves arrived today! They are very lovely for only £1.95 each delivered I bought the black grey plum beige orange and khaki (although it looks more a gold that khaki IMHO). I secretly. Want to keep them all for myself.

Reastie · 25/10/2013 17:45

Does anyone know anywhere I could get something like this personalised wrapping stamp done? Thought it would save me alot of time over the years repeating 'love from Mr, Mrs and Child Reastie' on every christmas label. All I'd need to write is who it's to. Any ideas?
