So I was just wondering what you put your Santa presents in? I have a gorgeous sack for 3 year old DD but can't find anything that's the same size for 1 year old DS. Do I buy two new ones which match? If so is it better to do a stocking so its always overflowing or sack so its exciting to dive in?

We have a stocking of little bits and pieces and we have a sack - our DDs are told that we send the sack, some wrapping paper and some of our presents to FC and he then delivers them all together. They don't tend to ask whats from FC and us and it also explains that wrapping paper being the same Wink

We started stockings last year hung on the bedroom doors to buy us a bit of time as we knew DS3 would want a BF first thing. I wasn't sure about starting a new tradition because our two oldest were 12 and 8 but they loved them.
Then when they came down they had the sacks they had laid out on Christmas Eve filled with the bigger presents.
I think splitting it up worked better because before then we used to just put everything in the sacks, including big toys as well as the smaller stocking fillers. Sometimes it would get a bit much and we would have a break to have breakfast.
Presents from friends and family go under the tree if we have been given them before Christmas Day. We open them after dinner if we have it at home or on Boxing Day if we go to someone else's house for dinner.

I really wish we had bought each child a lovely personalised sack and stocking for their first Christmas when you never know what to get them, but we just used the cheapy ones from Wilkos as they are easily replaceable if one can't hold the weight. To buy nice sack now is too expensive as we have four DC. I keep threatening to make them but I am not very good at sewing.
