I have a budget of 50 for the 9yo and a budget if £75 for the one yo, both girls.

For the 9yo, no electrical items like mp3 players etc as they just get broken and I have already had to replace her tablet and her mp3 player in the last few months and I don't want to be replacing anything else!

The 1yo has a trike and toys etc but I just don't have an idea of anything I could get her!

I can't help with the 9yo, but with the 1yo I'd just buy some little bits. They don't want anything enormous, especially if they already have a trike. Something to ride on the house is always a hit, but my 1yo loves the play tea sets and kitchen stuff like saucepans etc., and also lots of little wooden figures like the Noah's Ark that she can put into bags.

Thanks thurlow, I was thinking of getting her a ball pit??what do you think? I thought it might be helpful to get something to keep her occupied while I cook etc and it keeps her safe n not crawling around and terrorising the cat!

My now 3yo dd loves the circus style tent from ikea, I think it was €20. She also got the wooden train set and blocks and she still plays with them

Other dd is 8 and I've no bloody clue what to get her. Same situation with the electrical stuff, she got a tablet for her birthday in June and has lost the charger and stood on itAngry

I'm going to order her some duplo too, I think it might be something that she will enjoy.

I'm not sure about a tent as she likes to be able to see everything that's going on, she's a nosey bugger!! The train set might be an idea though, thanks for that idea!

I've told dd1 I'm not replacing anything else she's asked for a Wii and got told no!! Getting her a Wii means getting her a TV too, not a chance!!
