Hello Kitty Vs Peppa Pig

DD loves both, she loves playing with dolls houses etc so as part of her christmas I'm tempted by

peppa pig

and

hello kitty

cost difference doesn't matter, shes 3 in Feb but very careful with toys.

What do you think would be better?

Hello Kitty Sweet Candy House has more to do in it than the set you've linked IMHO. It is £18.50 or something if you go through the google link to the The Brilliant Gift Shop. My 3yo daughter loves both Kitty and Peppa too, and I have got her the Sweet Candy Set, but I think she will actually have more fun with the Sylvanian cat family that will be moving into her dolls house on Christmas day with the odd accessory and car. I've got her a few Hello Kitty bits and pieces for her stocking. Peppa Pig is so funny to watch but I'm not sure that she would find it easy to act out. My daughter is shockingly lookist, so Hello Kitty things win hands down!

The Hello Kitty one is tiny; as roslet says there are better ones available (try The Entertainer). I would say HK is longer lasting than Peppa

Don't buy Peppa Pig stuff, it's awful. And the characters have tiny little arms that look like they will snap if you touch them.

Clutterbugsmum · 24/10/2013 10:12

Don't buy Peppa pig. The house just falls apart all the time. So you spend all your time putting the bloody thing back together every 2 minutes.

Hello Kitty is smaller and takes up a lot less space. Although there are small parts most of the items are big enough for small children to play with without needing help.

wonderingsoul · 24/10/2013 10:20

id go with hello kitty for a number of reasons.

hk will grow with her, could get years out of it.

and.. this is just my thoughts..but i cant stand peppa pig.. shes a spoilt brat. the shows really do erk me, thankfully ds4 only showed a small passing interest in it.

I'd go with HK but as others said a slightly bigger set (there's plenty to choose from in various shops). my DD has a house and loads of HK figures and plays with those but doesnt care for peppa nowadays (shes 6). peppa pig toys are awful anyway. A lot of the character toys are in my experience.

We bought dd2 the hello kitty toadstool las year and she still plays with it now so have bought her another small set. I like the peppa pig sets as they are bigger but the figures are hard to sit down ( the camper an caused many meltdowns as the figures would fall off the seats ) so I would go for the hello kitty.

thanks guys, will go for a hello kitty set of some kind now!
