has any one got the sb play ship?

iv read reviews on amazone and they are quite mixed,

i was thinking about getting it for ds2 5th birthday , couple oif days after christmas.

he loves sponge bob and like bath toys. the figures squart water so am assuming it can be played with in the bath?

can any one shed some light on it?

also the sb pineapple payset.. *the new one.. not the lego set)

I bought dd it for her 4th birthday last year. The figures are great but I found the ship very fiddly, even for me. The bits that needed to be put together and clipped on kept coming off. It has a mast with string attached to the sails that kept getting tangled. I ended up taking everything off it. She tried to play with it in the bath but it's not sturdy in water at all and kept falling over. I wouldn't recommend it to be honest.

hmm i read that.. would it be ok if it was glued on.

i shall have to rethink this. is a shame becasu eh ewould love it

Possibly, it's worth a try although when it was all intact at first, it still wasn't sturdy enough to keep upright in the water.

see it wouldnt just be for the water, so i think the glue could be enough....

if not i can always take it back and tell them how crap it is Wink

My DD keeps hinting that her little brother would like it, but it looks quite tat-ish to me. I'm considering a playmobil one instead.

fuzz if i could find figures on their own, i would buy the playmobile one and just put the figures init before wrapping it .... but its a sponge bob set he wants and i cant find the figures grr

www.amazon.co.uk/Playmobil-7350-Underwater-Motor/dp/B000GFJAZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382470561&sr=8-1&keywords=playmobile+underwater+motor

found this to go with the playmobile piriate ship, to make it sail on its own

i think this has made up my mind.. playmobile ship with the sponge bob squaiters/

rarther excited about this one.

the playmobil pirate ship is fab
My DS had it for approx 7 years- well played with, I sold it to my friend and it is still going strong for her DS several years later
worth every penny

iv never brought them p laymobile before. but i remeber my parents buying me this GIANT playmobile house when i was about 6 maybe.. so 21 years ago.

they didnt know it didnt come with all the funiture or figure because them box didnt say so.. so they phoned trading services an djohn lewis and got the whole room sets given to them for free. i loved it and one of thew few memories i have of childhood. its in the garage, am waiting a nother year or so before i ask them to get it out fo rme.

ill be interested to see how my ds plays with it and if its something he'll like out of the bath.
