Does it start tomorrow or did I dream that?

Yes it does x

Mittensonkittens · 22/10/2013 12:13

Id better get my assertive out of my way attitude on then! It's ruthless at our sainsbury's!

Thank you!

50% off Nerf, Barbie, Moshi Monsters, Disney Princess, Thomas the Tank Engine

Third off Monster High, Transformers, Fisher Price, Leapfrog, Lego

((From a Sainsburys press release)

enderwoman · 23/10/2013 08:05

Vtech 25% off and Hot Wheels a thud off according to Sainsburys website.

lagoonhaze · 23/10/2013 08:39

Thanks guys. Did anyone go?

Mittensonkittens · 23/10/2013 12:12

I've been today and it was chaos! There were some good offers - some playmobil half price, some Lego and some character stuff. Could barely move down the toy aisle. Quite a lot of hot wheels (I loathe hot wheels by the way!) some transformers stuff, some orchard games, some happy land.

I didn't actually get anything as I couldn't see anything I thought ds would particularly play with. I did pick a couple of things up but concluded I was only buying them because they were half price so put them back!

I got a couple of Lego sets, a mega blocks dumper, couple of orchard games, a Barbie nail kit, and the hideous Disney princess secret journal plastic book thing- saved £34 and only have 2 more children to buy for (and then to do the stockings for my 2).

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/10/2013 14:43

I didn't know it was on, only went for some bread! Got a lalaloopsy "sisters" set of dolls for £17.50 and little microwave/toaster thingys for £5 and £2. Going to stop dd1 home when she comes out of school and go back for the barbie and pink unicorn set and the half price happyland zoo or farm or whatever the hell it was!

comeandgo · 23/10/2013 14:49

1/3 off Lego is rubbish.

Chocotrekkie · 23/10/2013 14:52

I got Lego friends packets of animals half price and moshi monsters packets at 70 % off. Good for stocking fillers.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/10/2013 16:58

Have now added the barbie and unicorn combo and a pirate ship! Oh and me tumble's spotty bag. Am knackered, it's like the first day of harrods sale!

nowthenmardybum · 23/10/2013 17:16

Yep! £50 quid and a pair of sore elbows later and it is all hidden from DH Grin

BabieThePicess · 23/10/2013 17:29

Does anyone know if the fisher price little people sets are half price? Thanks

MunchMunch · 23/10/2013 17:40

I was there for opening in the pissing down rain and got: ds2, hulk adventures, hot wheels shark bite bay, marvel heroes plane and car, play doh dentist, jake and the neverland pirates Lego, r/c dinosaur, 5pack hot wheel cars and a magic hat pop up game,
Dd : barbie 3d nail art set, princess play doh, barbie ballerina, monster high twin pack (boy and girl), barbie tropical island Lego, moshi monster theme park, moshi monster collection and a moshi monster poppet bead set.

Spent £142 and saved £115.

Went to a different sainsburys later just for a look and got dd a moshi monster guess who game £5 and my first sewing kit to make a bag and something else but can't remember £4. Ds2 got a moshi monster treasure chest containing 5 ghost moshi's £5.

There seemed to be a few things that I would have bought but must have gone while I was getting the main things I wanted. I'll just keep popping over incase it gets re-stocked.

chanie44 · 23/10/2013 17:54

My local sainsburys had lots of toys, but also big gaps on the shelves where toys had been sold.

I bought a hello kitty house half price to £7.50. Tescos had something similar for £10.50 so I'm not convinced the toys are worth the full price, but I saved a few £££.

mercibucket · 23/10/2013 18:11

Thought it was rubbish this year! I seemed to be the only one there and 25percent off lego friend s was hardly worth bothering

98percentchocolate · 23/10/2013 18:41

Mr tumble's spotty bag was reduced??? What was it priced at? I didn't go because I couldn't see anything I wanted but that would have been worth it!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/10/2013 18:53

Don't get excited, it was only 25% off so £11 I think. I was short of inspiration for dd2 :)
