I want to get a load of the warm white tiny lights for draping around the house. Where is a reasonably priced place to get them? Everywhere seems to sell them but at wildly varying prices. Not sure where would have good quality at low price.

John Lewis do some good value LED ones are run by battery and can be put outside too.

Hate to be the boring voice of reason, but please can I advise against getting cheap ones from eBay, usually from Hong Kong? Some of them are just not safe, the plug overheats and is a huge fire risk :(

We got some nice ones from Ikea, they are on a white cable, so good for draping....so many are green to go on trees

Thanks Huevos, that's exactly the sort of advice I need. I've seen some "too cheap to be true" lights and wasn't sure if it was false economy. We have plenty for the tree, it's more for mantelpiece, around doorways, along stair banister etc that I want them, so it's the tiny warm white ones I'm after.

Aldi have some coming in as a special buy this week. I believe it is a 5-metre strip that can be shortened.

Looking for battery operated ones.....no sockets near my mirrors or fireplace.

Wilkinsons usually have a good stock of such things for Christmas. They might be ornamented with stars or feathers that you can cut off. The battery ones are more likely to flash, for longer battery life.

marlee John Lewis do some solar powered lights for outside, but they might look good inside too. I have just ordered some sets.
