Scalextric

I was thinking of getting my almost 6 year old a scalextric set for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a good, not massively expensive, set please? Running out of ideas for him and my husband is Anti tablet!!

DS had a My First Scaletrix set wen he was smaller. It has the added benefit of being smaller but you are very limited to the shapes you can make. I think you can buy extras but TBH he was ready to go full size after a year or so so not really worth it

Ds has a micro scalextric set. His is the lewis hamilton/ jenson button mclaren one. You can only build one track with what's in there but can buy extra bits if you want to expand it. Ds is getting some different cars to go on it this year, he plays with it a lot.
