I am not trying to festively trample on anyone's toes, most especially not the fabulous reassure who is saving me more money than I care to imagine BUT on my prehistoric phone I cant find all the magazine subscriptions and free gifts.

Please direct me to the right place lovely people! I have done glamour (free £23 body shop set) for £1!! Is this one per household or one per direct debit (eg can I use dp's card too)

I have heard tales of watches and perfume And all sorts!

Thanks so much in advance!!

Bumping to help Valium find the thread Smile

ValiumQueen · 01/10/2013 13:47

Thank you TooWet Grin you are a gem. I have done the perfume one and the body shop one. Do not like watches and have no idea who to give it to so gonna leave that one. The other freebies will be SIL sorted for birthday and Christmas. I just hope she is not on MN Blush

Littlemissexpecting · 02/10/2013 08:40

Sorry to hijack could someone please link the glamor one ?
Can you cancel dd after 1 issue or do you have to wait for all 3?

TooWetToWoo · 02/10/2013 08:53

Glamour mag 3 issues £1 with free Body Shop gift worth £23

I'm cancelling after the second mag comes through, I think that's when the Glamour gift arrives (I've had mag but no gift yet). The watch and perfume ones I've had the gifts but no mags yet. I ordered them all around the same time so will cancel them altogether once I've got the Glamour gift so hopefully I won't forget to cancel one.

Others have just cancelled the DD with their bank and that seems to have stopped it so I'm just going to do the same.

Thank you Smile

Theimpossiblegirl · 05/10/2013 09:39

Just had my first gift through- the perfume. It's lovely, will make a great gift. When is it ok to cancel the direct debit? Can you do it at once or do you have to leave it a set time for the first payment to go through?

Theimpossiblegirl · 05/10/2013 09:40

Sorry, realise this question has been answered. Must drink more coffee....

HappyMummyOfOne · 05/10/2013 13:23

Are they easy to cancel? Presumably you have to cancel the ddm and contact the sender?

LadyMaryQuiteContrary · 05/10/2013 13:26

Be careful. You're usually tied into a 12 month contract so it's not wise to sign up for the 'gift' and then cancel whenever you like. Do check the terms and conditions.

HappyMummyOfOne · 05/10/2013 13:29

Thanks Lady, thought it sounded to good to be true.

LadyMaryQuiteContrary · 05/10/2013 13:33
Sad

What you could do instead is keep your eyes out for buy one, get one free items and make hampers. If they are things that you'd buy anyway then you technically get a present or two for free, things like body wash, soaps etc. I bought candles from the pound shop for someone a few years ago and repackaged them in a nice box with tissue paper etc. They were chuffed! Smile

TooWetToWoo · 05/10/2013 14:05

This taken from the Ts+Cs of the watch offer:

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time during your trial period - after your trial period your subscription will run a six month minimum supscription term.

So you can just have the 3 issues and keep the watch without a full subscription.

LadyMaryQuiteContrary · 05/10/2013 14:08

I have a subscription with The Times. They gave me a M&S voucher for signing up and there was a cancellation period of three months but they didn't send the voucher out until after the cancellation period had ended. If the watch isn't sent out until after the three months trial period you'll end up having to pay for 12 months as you can't cancel.

LadyMaryQuiteContrary · 05/10/2013 14:08

Sorry, 6 months in this case.

ilove · 05/10/2013 14:19

The perfume one isn't valid any more :(

TooWetToWoo · 05/10/2013 16:25

The watch was sent out before the first issue arrived in my case (and several others on the bargain thread).
